On The Road Problems

Well, Daisy has been doing great. I have finally started taking her to classic car shows !!! - I am a member of the Ford Sidevalve Owners Club (www.fsoc.co.uk), and have been since getting Daisy almost 4 years ago. However, I have just recently joined the South Hampshire Vehicle Preservation Society (www.shvps.org.uk). The great thing about them is that they are not specific to any marques, they have a general rule of - If you vehicle (car, motorbike.. commercial... steam... what ever) was build before 1980, then you can join. The variety of the vehicles at the meetings I attended was fantastic, and it gives to a good excuse to talk to other owners, AND to show off your pride an joy to others :)  I might even create a new section of the website just for these get togethers.

Anyway, all Daisy needed this month was a service... just a few bits and bobs to make sure she was in fine fettle for the meetings with other classic owners.

The new points made a hell of a difference!! Daisy is nowhere near as 'lumpy' now. I also bought these ...

They are clip on wing mirrors, that were originally designed for a mini, but fit Daisy just fine. They allow much better visibility and are easy to adjust from inside the car!! - I have left Daisys original mirrors on the wings as well, and she does not look odd having 4 side mirrors, in fact, they look brilliant.
