Using Daisy On The Road

February 2009
We have had a fair amount of snow this year, and Daisy has been hibernating all winter. Now we are at the end of Feb, the weather has turned nice. Still a wee bit cold, but clear and sunny. So I thought that it was about time that Daisy came out of the garage. I pulled her out, lifted of the cover... dusted her down (the amount of dust that had collected over the past 5 months was phenomenal!). Checked the oil, radiator, tyre pressure and regreased all the hinges and moving joints. So... I reconnected the battery (checked with multi meter first), got behind the wheel, turned on the fuel pump (clug.. clug .. clugggg), pulled out the choke and pulled the starter..
She started first time!
Off to Tesco's we went. Daisy's first drive of the year. On the way to Tesco's we saw several classics out and about, must of been the change in weather! Everyone had the same idea! ... MG B, Minor, Mini, Sunbeam... and when I pulled in to Tesco's car par, there all on is own was a lovely 67 Daimler V8, well, I said to my other half... guess where I am going to park!?? lol..
