On The Road Problems ![]()
April 2005
Well, its April. Daisy is doing ok. Slight problem with a bulb this month. On my way home from work, and the indicators (on the right) start flashing very fast. Indicative of a bulb going pop. So, in order to get to the front right indicator bulb, off with the housing.

A wee bit rusty, but nothing that a wire brush and hamerite can not fix.

The holder. Unfortunately, Daisy decided that she was not happy with me 'fiddling', and so, made sure that the simple task of removing a bulb, would take me nearly an hour! The old bulb had been in their for so damn long, that it was practically welded in to the holder. Eventually, after much swearing and hammer threatening, the bulb broke free (in several pieces mind you!). Now, the indicators, are also the side lights, so they are a double filament bulb. Off to Lucas Warehouse..... You will also problem notice, from my picture above, that during my 'struggle' to free the bulb, a wire snapped off...... Typical.

A small piece of solder put the wire back, and the new bulb was inserted (with a small amount of further persuasion from long noise pliers!). Now we can turn corners once more. :-)
