Engine Replacement
January 2007
Well, a happy new year to everyone !! - Sorry for the delay in updating the site, but much has happened over the past few months. Work commitments have prevented me from getting a chance to do as much on Daisy, but, with the help of www.minormiracles.co.uk , Daisy is looking fantastic. I did have to fork out for a "new" engine, which I bought from www.smallfordspares.co.uk , and what a difference..... its changed Daisy from a putt...putt..putt...tick...tick.... sounding car, to a GROWLLLLLLL purr purr sounding car. Well worth the money. Don't get me wrong, she is still as slow as she always was, only now, the engine feels sprightly, and tight with a definite deep tone to her.

Thought I would also mention (although its not an engine thing) that I have had Daisy re-sprayed. A bare metal re-spray in fact. Again, thanks to www.minormiracles.co.uk for this, and managing to track down the correct Ford colour for Daisy. It turns out that although she is Hereford Green, the colour she was, was as close as a previous owner could find, and was in fact to dark. Daisy is now the correct colour, with re-chromed bumpers. She looks amazing. I shall put some new pics on the front page to show her off.
