Engine Replacement

February 2006

Well, its been a slow start to the year for me and Daisy. Cant believe that its February already!! Weather is still cold, so not much in the way of work on Daisy being done, however, the cold weather will pass fairly soon, and it does give me a chance to get some bits and bobs. A complete set of gaskets, thanks to ebay.

I will go through the set, and list all the gaskets part numbers, just to help all you guys out!! ;-)  By the way, a big thanks to all the guest book entries of late, I had no idea that Daisy had so many brothers and sisters out there!! - Keep up the good work, and if I can be of any help, just shout, and I will be happy to....

Anyway, Daisy is still in my garage at the moment, with a dead engine (remember my 'big bang' at the end of last year). I do have another engine, but the condition is unknown. Now, what I have to ask myself is, do I strip this 'new' engine, and hope that it works.... Or, do I fork out the best part of a grand (£1000!!) for a guaranteed fully rebuild club engine? You can see which way I am heading............... hence the new gaskets!!!!!!! :-)
